About the Role
We are seeking an Operating Engineer to work Monday‑Friday, 3 pm‑11 pm, on‑site in Austin, TX. The role involves managing electrical and mechanical systems across assigned buildings. JLL takes privacy seriously and protects personal information collected during the recruitment process, retaining it only as long as needed for legitimate business or legal reasons. • Maintain and update Maximo CMMS information for building operating systems. • Monitor building management system alerts and perform site inspections. • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑life‑safety systems. • Respond to online service requests professionally and efficiently. • Assist with MEP installations of new or replacement equipment. • Provide emergency response and after‑hours building support as needed. • Communicate promptly with onsite personnel and vendor partners to resolve incidents. • Manage inventory of parts and equipment, submitting replacement requests. • Document all maintenance activities and system performance per company standards.

What You Bring
Required education is a high school diploma or GED, plus two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC. Candidates must be proficient with office computers and web applications such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. This position does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Experience with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑safety equipment (preferred). • Ability to analyze MEP system operation, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions. • Strong customer‑service skills and self‑starting, teamwork‑oriented attitude.
