About the Role
The Gas Pipefitter role is integral to constructing, maintaining, replacing, and repairing natural gas distribution infrastructure. Responsibilities include fusing pipe casings, vault lids, fittings, metal parts, hot gas mains, fabricating special parts, and repairing broken or cracked components. • Assist crew in handling and fusing gas pipe. • Fuse pipe sections that are buried or drilled. • Verify all fuses meet quality standards. • Maintain tools in proper working condition. • Locate underground utilities using shovel and probe. • Manage truck inventory. • Train employees on proper pipe‑fusing specifications.

What You Bring
The position operates in a field environment and requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing for extended periods, often in extreme weather conditions. Workers must have clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors. • Hold high school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 1 year gas pipeline experience. • Preferred: Class A CDL, 2+ years pipeline experience, Operator Qualifications (OQs).
