About the Role
General responsibilities include assisting sales representatives in evaluating customer requirements, gathering engineering data, and providing technical support. The SAE prepares accurate pricing quotes, acts as the single point of contact for project issues, reviews engineering drawings, and generates precise component buyout lists. Additional duties involve releasing projects to production, monitoring manufacturing progress, managing contractual modifications for profitability, and handling change‑order requests without impacting schedules. • Assist sales reps in evaluating customer needs and gathering engineering data. • Provide technical support and prepare accurate pricing quotes for custom equipment. • Serve as the single point of contact for all project issues and activities. • Review engineering drawings and create precise component buyout lists. • Release approved projects to manufacturing and monitor production status. • Manage contractual modifications to maintain project profitability. • Process change‑order requests without affecting production schedules or ship dates. • Utilize MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD/Inventor) for blueprint and technical document review. • Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in engineering (not required) and at least three years of sales experience. Candidates should possess strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office, and knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor. Experience reviewing blueprints and technical documents, excellent oral and written communication, and the ability to learn proprietary design software are also essential. The position demands effective written and spoken communication, strong interpersonal skills, sound decision‑making, analytical problem‑solving, and the ability to multitask and stay organized. The SAE must work well in team settings and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
