About the Role

The driver safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on residential transfer routes. All operations must adhere to local, state and federal regulations and company expectations for the fleet. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, reporting any unsafe conditions, incidents or service calls, and participating in required training and briefings. The driver collaborates with Route Managers to improve route efficiency, assists other drivers as directed, and follows assigned routes throughout the day. At each customer location the driver fully empties containers, cleans the area, positions containers properly, and completes required paperwork and tickets. All communications regarding customer requests, blocked containers, missed pick-ups, or other issues are relayed to Dispatch or the Route Manager. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck safely in compliance with all regulations. • Complete pre‑ and post‑trip DVIR inspections and report issues immediately. • Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of unsafe conditions, incidents, or service calls. • Attend scheduled training, briefings and meetings as required. • Work with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist fellow drivers and follow daily route assignments. • Dump containers, clean sites, and position containers correctly on customer property. • Submit customer tickets and end‑of‑route documentation accurately. • Communicate customer requests, blocked containers, or missed pick‑ups to Dispatch.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a valid DZ or Class 3 (CDL) license, with preference for those who can operate manual trucks, and be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in Canada with a SIN. They must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, background check, and maintain an acceptable driving record. No specific education or prior experience is required. The position may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one.
