About the Role
• Design and deliver sophisticated electrical solutions for complex building projects across sectors such as health, defence, transport, and data centres. • Serve as senior technical authority, reviewing and guiding electrical design, installation strategies, and system integration. • Oversee multiple electrical projects simultaneously, balancing technical rigor, program delivery, and client expectations. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate lighting, power distribution, fire and life safety, and low‑voltage systems into overall building services. • Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovative thinking.

What You Bring
The national Building Engineering team is seeking a technically strong Principal Electrical Engineer to lead a range of building services projects across health, defence, transport, data centres, sports facilities and other complex environments. The role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and will involve guiding design, delivery and integration of electrical systems. • Minimum 12 years of electrical engineering experience in building services consultancy, senior contracting, or government roles. • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status and RPEV/RPEQ registration preferred. • Proven ability to lead several technical projects concurrently, delivering quality and innovative designs. • In‑depth knowledge of Australian Standards, building codes, and electrical systems, with strong technical leadership skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a passion for mentoring engineers; Australian citizenship and defence clearance advantageous.
