What You Bring

Key responsibilities include completing roadway design plans with limited supervision, working alone or in small groups, and using MicroStation and Inroads/Openroads software. The engineer will assist other engineers and designers in developing plans and specifications for a variety of transportation projects and must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Required qualifications are a BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of roadway or transportation engineering experience, and a GA Professional Engineer license (or the ability to obtain one within six months). Knowledge of MicroStation and Inroads/Openroads is a plus, GDOT or municipal experience is preferred, and the candidate must be willing to travel occasionally and hold a valid driver’s license. The work environment is primarily office‑based with limited exposure to adverse conditions. The role involves repetitive finger motions, visual acuity for screen work, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lb frequently (up to 50 lb occasionally).
