About the Role
You will analyze customer specifications to ensure Hitachi Power Grids solutions meet requirements, applying knowledge of British, Indian, ACI and other international standards such as Eurocodes, DIN and ASTM. Responsibilities include reviewing civil drawings for compliance with local regulations, preparing BoQs for foundations, superstructures and PEB structures, and coordinating technically with Electrical, Mechanical and MEP teams as well as the Project/Tender team on timelines, budgets, risks and opportunities. • Analyze customer specifications to align solutions with required standards. • Review civil drawings and documents for compliance with local regulations. • Prepare Bills of Quantities for foundations, superstructures, and PEB structures. • Coordinate technical activities with Electrical, Mechanical, and MEP departments. • Collaborate with Project/Tender teams on timelines, budgets, risks, and opportunities. • Assess and validate technical risks and opportunities throughout project phases. • Introduce innovative ideas to reduce engineering effort and improve efficiency. • Implement, review, and continuously improve quality systems and OPEX initiatives. • Ensure adherence to all applicable external and internal regulations and guidelines. • Maintain Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety, integrity, and responsibility.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and possess 7‑10 years of relevant experience. Required skills include proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD STADD Pro and Robot, solid knowledge of IEEE, IEC and other standards, and experience in substation tendering and project engineering. Strong English communication, high ownership, teamwork across countries, and the ability to work independently are essential.
