The role oversees incident response, change and maintenance processes, access control, capacity forecasting, audit preparation, quality assurance, and vendor relationships to meet service level agreements and compliance policies. • Provide 24x7 secondary escalation support for facility incidents when the client Data Center Manager is unavailable. • Collect incident information, act as client representative, and recommend next steps to the Data Center Manager. • Lead root‑cause analysis with facilities and drive action items to target dates. • Coordinate change requests from colocation providers, validating windows, scope, assessments, and documentation. • Draft change details including risk identification, impacts, and mitigation strategies. • Represent the client on Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings for facility changes. • Ensure maintenance calendars are planned, schedule targets are met, and approve facility MOPs. • Identify, coordinate, and assess tabletop exercises and change risks; collaborate on mitigation and back‑out plans. • Engage additional client engineering resources as needed and avoid conflicting maintenances across regions. • Project‑manage facility‑related improvements to align with service level agreements. • Provision and terminate site access per client approvals, and conduct quarterly badge compliance assessments. • Escort visitors and provide tours as required. • Analyze capacity planning forecasts to monitor space and power thresholds; present exception findings to the Data Center Manager. • Investigate power usage anomalies and collect data for further action. • Prepare sites for audits, track remediation actions to completion, and ensure DCIM data accuracy. • Author, review, and approve facility‑related procedures. • Oversee onsite vendor check‑ins, manage cleaning services contracts, and enforce colocation SLA and KPI compliance. • Document, manage, and appropriately escalate project and client issues. • Monitor industry trends, coordinate potential best‑practice opportunities with the client, and communicate technical information clearly.
