About the Role

The Driver‑CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, delivering prompt and courteous waste removal services, and ensuring the vehicle meets company safety standards before each shift. The role requires daily completion of vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate the collection truck along the assigned route, load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility. • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as assigned by the dispatcher or supervisor. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers; tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean accidental spills in accordance with safety standards. • Keep the vehicle clean by removing waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. • Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other mandatory documentation. • Maintain productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies, including participation in the ReSOP program.
