About the Role

Key responsibilities include preparing quarterly tax provisions, managing Canadian tax compliance, responding to CRA audits, supporting cash‑repatriation strategies, assisting internal reorganizations, coordinating international tax matters, and partnering with Finance, HR, Treasury and Legal functions. • Prepare consolidated quarterly tax provision in accordance with US GAAP and coordinate with external auditors. • Manage Canadian tax compliance, including corporate, partnership filings and elections, with external service providers. • Respond to Canada Revenue Agency audit queries and information requests. • Support tax planning and maintain global cash repatriation strategies. • Provide tax support for internal reorganizations and corporate initiatives to optimize Brookfield’s tax position. • Manage and coordinate international tax matters and documentation with business groups. • Offer tax assistance to internal functions such as Finance, HR, Treasury, and Legal.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a CPA and have at least five years of progressive corporate tax experience in a national public accounting firm or equivalent industry setting. They should possess solid experience with Canadian tax compliance and accounting, a strong working knowledge of Canadian tax rules—including foreign affiliates—and excellent communication skills to convey complex tax concepts clearly. • CPA qualification with at least 5 years of progressive corporate tax experience at a national public accounting firm or equivalent. • Experience with Canadian tax compliance and tax accounting. • Strong working knowledge of Canadian tax rules, including those applicable to foreign affiliates. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
