About the Role

The environmental practice helps industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting communities and natural resources. Within this practice, the Air Quality team provides technical and advisory services for projects at every stage, from planning applications through compliance and decommissioning. The role will involve collaboration with local and ANZ‑wide air quality specialists and broader AECOM professionals. In this position you will deliver air‑quality impact assessments, create monitoring programmes and manage projects from initiation to completion. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to greenhouse‑gas and carbon‑accounting projects and support business‑development activities. • Deliver air quality impact assessments, including qualitative risk assessments and detailed dispersion modelling, and produce high‑quality technical reports. • Prepare project‑specific monitoring programs and air quality management plans. • Manage air quality projects from initiation to completion, handling client engagement, reporting and proposal development. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on greenhouse‑gas and carbon‑accounting projects and support business‑development initiatives. • Produce strong technical written deliverables such as impact assessments, management plans, proposals and client communications.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, environmental management or a related field and has at least two years of air‑quality consulting experience. Proficiency with dispersion modelling tools such as CALPUFF or AERMOD, experience developing emissions inventories and strong technical writing skills are highly desired. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline with at least 2 years of air‑quality consulting experience. • Demonstrate proficiency in dispersion modelling software (e.g., CALPUFF, TAPM, AERMOD, GRAL, WRF) and experience developing emissions inventories. • Use Excel for emissions estimation calculations and be familiar with greenhouse‑gas or carbon accounting.
