About the Role

The position is on‑site, not remote or hybrid, based in a Turner office or project location in Omaha, NE. The role serves as a subject‑matter expert on client, consultant and trade contractual terms, overseeing contract setup, negotiation, enforcement and education across projects or business units. • Set up, negotiate, enforce, and educate on project contracts and standard agreements. • Review and negotiate contracts to support business development initiatives. • Assist purchasing, estimating, and operations with special contract needs and exceptions. • Ensure contract compliance and maintain proper documentation throughout the project. • Advise project leadership on staffing requirements for contract adherence. • Respond to all contract‑related letters within 24‑48 hours and track correspondence workflow. • Align transmittals, RFIs, emails and other documents with contract terms; train staff on compliance. • Develop strategies and tools for efficient contract issue resolution and tracking. • Consult legal counsel at project start‑up and periodically during the project life‑cycle. • Mentor and train team members to enhance contract management skills. • Assess and recommend process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiency. • Attend senior staff meetings to report progress and contract issues.

What You Bring

The role requires at least four years of formal engineering or architectural training plus ten years of construction or construction‑law experience, with strong knowledge of cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles and contract law. Candidates must demonstrate leadership, management, interpersonal skills and strong English communication both verbally and in writing. Physical demands include climbing stairs and ladders, using hoists, lifting up to 50 lb, and performing tasks that require vision, balance and manual dexterity. The work environment is a construction site with exposure to moving equipment, heights, fumes, weather, and moderate to loud noise.
