About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will join NORESCO's Federal and Energy Services teams, bringing construction experience with cogeneration, utility distribution, and other energy infrastructure on campuses. This role supports projects from development through construction completion, handling estimating, scheduling, contract development, safety oversight, financial performance, quality assurance, and compliance. Key duties include managing the bid process—pre‑qualifying subcontractors, developing bid packages, negotiating pricing, and preparing daily construction reports. The manager will also develop project schedules, supervise contractors, coordinate material delivery, inspect subcontractor work for quality, cost, and schedule adherence, and oversee commissioning and close‑out activities. Safety responsibilities involve creating project and subcontractor safety plans, monitoring daily subcontractor activities, and ensuring compliance with all NORESCO safety requirements on both office and field sites. Financial responsibilities cover preparing project budgets, tracking and approving subcontractor invoices, and producing accurate monthly financial projections. • Manage the bid process: pre‑qualify subcontractors, develop bid packages, evaluate and negotiate bids. • Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate on‑site construction activities and supervise contractors daily. • Prepare daily construction reports, generate meeting minutes, and ensure O&M documentation meets NORESCO requirements. • Conduct quality, cost, and schedule inspections; witness subcontractor work and coordinate final acceptance. • Create and monitor project and subcontractor safety plans, enforcing all NORESCO safety standards. • Prepare project budgets, track and approve subcontractor invoices, and produce monthly financial forecasts. • Mentor project managers and provide guidance on risk analysis, constructability, and budgeting.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (or military nuclear power training) and possess a minimum of eight years of construction experience, including commissioning exposure. Travel up to 50% of the work week is required, and the role demands physical ability to lift, climb, and work in noisy or extreme environments. • Require a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least 8 years of construction experience with commissioning exposure. • Must travel up to 50% of the time and be capable of physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb and climbing. • Preferred qualifications: contractor’s license, proven customer and subcontractor management, proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
