About the Role

• Manage the global IP portfolio in collaboration with the Chief IP Counsel, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders. • Maintain and monitor patent and trademark dockets, ensuring deadlines are met and necessary documentation is gathered. • Oversee the intellectual property database (CPI) and keep records up to date. • Administer patent annuity and trademark renewal processes, coordinating internal reviews before deadlines. • Support invention disclosures, conduct initial patent searches, and assess clearance for prosecution. • Perform trademark clearance searches and manage prosecution of new trademark applications. • Communicate IP matters to internal teams, external counsel, and foreign associates. • Prepare and deliver regular status reports on the patent and trademark portfolio. • Review IP agreements such as non‑disclosure agreements and licensing terms. • Collaborate with outside counsel and manage budgets for IP‑related activities. • Apply effective project‑management skills to drive initiatives efficiently. • Conduct, evaluate, and report on patent and trademark clearance searches and opinions.

What You Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certificate. • Possess 7+ years of experience in patent and trademark docketing and filing (U.S. and international). • Demonstrate strong customer‑service orientation and excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to process large volumes of complex information and provide clear guidance to business leaders. • Proficient in IP database management systems, specifically CPI. • Experienced with electronic research and filing tools (USPTO, WIPO) for patent and trademark prosecution. • Experience in large law firms supporting industrial/manufacturing IP matters (preferred). • In‑house IP experience at a global industrial company (preferred). • Knowledge of invoicing, budgeting, and Legal Tracker (preferred). • Familiarity with domain management and UDRP proceedings (preferred).

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $39.00 to $55.00 per hour, dependent on factors such as location, experience, and education.
