About the Role
The role involves providing local technical drafting and CADD support, generating accurate drawings, models, specifications, and material lists that meet industry standards for quality and functionality. The drafter will use 3D CADD software, Autodesk Raster Design, Bentley Descartes, and ProjectWise to create detailed layout, grounding, and electrical connection drawings, while collaborating with engineers and ensuring compliance with IEEE, NESC, and other regulations. • Produce 2D and 3D substation drawings, including layouts, equipment arrangements, grounding plans, and wiring diagrams. • Generate drafting deliverables such as plans, profiles, sections, details, specifications, and material lists. • Utilize Autodesk Raster Design, Bentley Descartes, and ProjectWise for drawing creation, conversion, and file management. • Review drawings for accuracy, interpret contract specifications, and flag any discrepancies. • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, and other codes and regulations. • Prepare multiple drawing revisions incorporating markups and updates. • Uphold ethical decision‑making and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least five years of drafting experience in substation design, proficiency with CADD tools, knowledge of relevant codes, and strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
