About the Role
The role involves installing complex integrated security systems for clients, encompassing wiring, equipment setup, and programming of access control, CCTV, digital and network recorders, and intercom systems. Installation duties include cabling and mounting field equipment per the National Electric Code, troubleshooting with electronic test tools, interpreting blueprints and schematics, adjusting or repairing hardware, performing system checks, and documenting all job assignments. The technician must also use computer applications for CCTV and access control, plan and prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, work independently, and conduct end‑user training while isolating network issues when needed. • Install cabling, field equipment, and control enclosures at customer sites. • Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot installation problems. • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and schematics. • Adjust, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and verify operation. • Perform system checks to ensure proper functionality. • Utilize word processing, spreadsheets, and databases for documentation. • Plan, organize, and prioritize work while paying close attention to detail. • Complete and submit all required paperwork for each job assignment. • Mount and secure equipment using hand and power tools. • Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to fixtures. • Drill holes in walls, studs, joists, ceilings, and floors for wiring runs. • Conduct end‑user training on installed security systems. • Isolate and resolve network issues at the customer site when applicable.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, possess an A+ certification, and have at least three years of experience with digital and analog camera systems and access control, plus two years with IP‑addressable devices. Required skills include advanced TCP/IP networking, a clean driving record for company truck use, and proficiency with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems. Preferred qualifications are an associate degree or technical certification, apprenticeship completion, and specialized certifications in access control, analog and IP CCTV, and visitor management. • Communicate effectively in oral and written forms with team members and clients. • Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. • Possess an A+ certification. • Have 3+ years experience with digital and analog camera systems. • Have 3+ years experience with access control systems. • Understand alarm system function and design. • Possess 2+ years experience with IP‑addressable security devices. • Demonstrate advanced TCP/IP networking skills. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. • Be proficient with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV operations. • Prefer candidates with an associate degree or technical school graduation. • Earn at least three certifications in access control (e.g., Prowatch, C‑Cure, Casi‑Facility Commander, Picture Perfect, Secure Perfect). • Earn at least one certification in analog CCTV (e.g., Bosch, Pelco, American Dynamics, Cisco). • Earn at least one certification in IP CCTV (e.g., Genetec, Indigo Vision). • Prefer experience with visitor management systems (e.g., Honeywell Lobby Works, Stopware Access, Sentry). • Additional plus: MCSE, CCNA, surveillance, intrusion detection, perimeter intrusion, and security gate operator experience.

The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $28.13 to $43.75, based on education, experience, and skill set, along with a competitive benefits package.
