About the Role
• Support design of urban and rural roadways, intersections, interchanges, and active‑transport facilities using modern civil design tools. • Assist with horizontal and vertical alignments, cross‑sections, grading, and drainage layouts for highway projects. • Prepare engineering drawings, 3D models, and design details in collaboration with senior engineers and CAD technicians. • Contribute to technical reports, design summaries, quantity take‑offs, and tender documents to move projects from concept to construction. • Participate in site visits and field reviews to gather data and help resolve design or construction issues. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including transportation planning, structures, geotechnical, environmental, and municipal groups—to deliver integrated solutions. • Apply design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure safety, accessibility, and sustainability. • Commit to delivering resilient, sustainable transportation solutions that positively impact clients, communities, and the environment.

What You Bring
• Hold a recent or upcoming Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation or municipal infrastructure. • Be eligible for Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) registration with a provincial engineering association. • Demonstrate foundational knowledge of roadway geometry, drainage, and pavements from coursework, co‑op, internships, or capstone projects. • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or similar civil design software and a willingness to learn new platforms. • Comfort working with data such as surveys, GIS, traffic, and terrain models to create buildable designs. • Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. • Show a collaborative mindset, asking questions and sharing ideas to solve complex problems.
