About the Role
The Senior Manager, Global Forecasting & Inventory will lead the Global Parts Planning organization, creating accurate aftermarket service‑parts forecasts and efficient inventory plans while overseeing system and process improvements. This role collaborates with regional planning and field service teams, defines and executes the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and aims to increase service levels, optimize inventory, and drive revenue and margin growth. Key responsibilities include using historical data, market trends, and customer insights to develop precise forecasts, designing inventory strategies that improve turns and meet service‑level targets, and reducing excess and obsolete stock through segmentation and safety‑stock optimization. The manager will also lead cross‑functional S&OP meetings, ensure alignment with global objectives, and mentor forecast and inventory analysts. • Develop precise aftermarket service‑parts forecasts using historical data and market trends. • Design and implement inventory strategies to improve turns and meet service‑level targets. • Reduce excess and obsolete inventory globally through segmentation and safety‑stock optimization. • Lead the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and facilitate regular cross‑functional meetings. • Partner with regional planning and field service teams to align forecasts with global objectives. • Mentor and guide forecast and inventory optimization analysts.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least 12 years of experience in forecasting, inventory planning, and S&OP, preferably in an aftermarket service setting, along with 5+ years of leadership experience. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree or MBA preferred; APICS certification, process‑improvement experience, and willingness to travel 20‑30% internationally are also desired. • Minimum 12 years of forecasting, inventory planning, and S&OP experience, preferably in aftermarket services. • At least 5 years of leadership experience. • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred. • Willingness to travel 20‑30% domestically and internationally. • APICS certification and experience with process‑improvement initiatives desirable.
