Commissioning Engineer - Affinity Water Region
Lead commissioning of MEICA systems for water projects, from design to handover.

About the Role
The Commissioning Engineer role is available across various Affinity Water regions, including London. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality MEICA and commissioning solutions for water industry projects, ensuring systems and processes are integrated seamlessly and operate to the highest standard. • Lead commissioning delivery for assigned projects from outline design through to project takeover. • Develop and implement commissioning plans, strategies and documentation aligned with project scope and timelines. • Manage interfaces with existing assets and collaborate closely with the Client Asset Operations Team for smooth integration. • Oversee MEICA installation to ensure compliance with technical requirements, client specifications and industry standards, including WIMES. • Coordinate and supervise testing and commissioning activities such as FAT, SAT, dry and wet commissioning. • Engage specialist teams (DSEAR, Technical Authors, Document Controllers) to clarify deliverables and timescales. • Support training plans and ensure operational readiness for project handover. • Maintain rigorous safety standards and adhere to Galliford Try processes throughout all activities. • Apply a structured approach to commissioning plant, equipment and processes.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate proven MEICA and commissioning delivery experience within the water industry. • Exhibit strong site management skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly. • Possess knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment used in water treatment processes. • Understand health, safety and environmental standards. • Use Microsoft Office proficiently for reporting and documentation. • Hold a CSCS/ECS Card in the appropriate discipline. • Hold BS7671 (18th Edition) certification. • Hold a full UK driving licence. • Hold SSSTS certification. • (Desirable) Obtain EUSR National Water Hygiene Card, with support if required. • (Desirable) Obtain SMSTS certification. • (Desirable) Hold First Aid at Work certification. • (Desirable) Complete City & Guilds Authorised Person Module. • (Desirable) Have DSEAR awareness and CompEx ExF or equivalent. • (Desirable) Experience with PROFIBUS commissioning and maintenance.
