Job Highlights
About the Role
Leak‑proof welders operate pulse welding machines, stud welders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and jib cranes to assemble three‑phase switch modules and regulator tanks with leak‑proof seams. They compare parts to blueprints to ensure correct dimensions and locations, using fixtures and jigs as necessary. After completing work, they sign off on safety and quality checklists. • Verify material specifications and dimensions against shop orders and customer requirements. • Cut and trim materials using oxygen‑acetylene torch or plasma cutter as needed. • Assemble component parts to front plates, checking part numbers and locations per blueprints. • Splice multiple pieces to form front plates and other tank components. • Inspect corrugate for correct volute size. • Assemble and weld front plate, tank bottom, and tank body, ensuring leak‑proof seams. • Grind excess weld material from seams, edges, and gasket seats for proper fit. • Clean and wipe down units to meet customer standards. • Stamp tanks with employee ID and attach signed shop orders. • Operate jib and bridge crane to position heavy parts and assemblies. • Assist co‑workers with assembling and tipping large units. • Follow product quality guidelines and weld quality standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, plus either a one‑year technical school certificate or at least two years of MIG and arc‑welding experience. No relocation assistance is offered; applicants must reside within 50 miles of the site, though active‑duty military personnel are exempt. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and standing, and may involve overtime.
