About the Role
The carpenter will plan, layout, and perform all types of carpentry work in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards, and may work in other trades as required by project supervision. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time. • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance, explain deficiencies, and take corrective action. • Identify improvement opportunities, share knowledge, and teach others. • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards; use trade tools and equipment. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects frequently. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, scaffolds. • Lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs occasionally. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.

What You Bring
The role requires at least two years of experience as a Journeyman Carpenter, with bridge and wall construction background; ADOT experience is a plus. Candidates must pass pre‑employment drug testing, be available for overtime, and will be paid $34.50 per hour plus cash fringe benefits. The anticipated project duration is approximately three years. • Have required experience levels (1‑4 years) in industrial/commercial construction with in‑depth carpentry knowledge. • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required PPE (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.). • Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently; stoop, kneel, bend occasionally. • Use telephone, computer, email on limited basis for communication. • Move in confined spaces and uneven areas.
