About the Role
The Electrical Assistant Project Manager supports commercial electrical construction projects by assisting Project Managers with material coordination, scheduling, and documentation. This role ensures projects meet customer expectations and deadlines while adhering to financial and operational standards. The assistant acts as a liaison among internal teams, vendors, installers, and customers, and must be organized, communicative, self‑motivated, and adaptable. Key duties include supporting material procurement and order tracking, coordinating deliveries with vendors and internal procurement, and managing project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages. The assistant monitors project schedules and scope compliance, communicates proactively with contractors, customers, and suppliers, and processes change orders with accurate pricing. Site visits are performed to verify conditions and resolve issues, and all files are kept organized for audit readiness. • Assist Project Managers with material procurement and order tracking to align with construction schedules. • Coordinate deliveries with vendors, manufacturers, and internal procurement teams. • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages. • Monitor project schedules, performance, and compliance with scope requirements. • Communicate proactively with general contractors, customers, suppliers, and internal departments. • Process change orders based on customer direction and site conditions, ensuring accurate pricing. • Conduct job site visits to verify field conditions and help resolve site‑specific issues. • Prepare and submit closeout documents such as O&M manuals, warranties, and as‑built drawings. • Maintain organized project files for contract compliance and audit readiness. • Apply mathematical and analytical skills to review specifications and pricing. • Provide medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug insurance. • Provide short‑ and long‑term disability and life insurance coverage. • Encourage a culture of growth and internal promotion.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, with preferred coursework in business or construction management, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Word. Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational and time‑management skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem‑solving attitude are required. Basic knowledge of commercial electrical construction and analytical abilities are essential, while familiarity with ERP or project‑management software such as Comsense or Procore is a plus. • Hold a high school diploma; college coursework in business or construction management is preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Word. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. • Exhibit excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities. • Show strong attention to detail and follow‑through on assigned tasks. • Be self‑motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving. • Possess basic understanding of commercial electrical construction processes. • Familiarity with ERP, project‑management, or quoting software (e.g., Comsense, Procore) is a plus.
