About the Role

The Material Handling Associate receives materials into the ERP system, relocates and stores inventory, and performs quality checks to ensure compliance with standards. Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, the associate moves items between storage areas, maintains accurate inventory records, follows proper storage practices, and inspects incoming materials for damage or discrepancies, thereby supporting production schedules and timely shipments. • Accurately tag and label all parts, verifying quantities and part numbers. • Ensure all required documentation and certifications are received, reviewed, and properly stored in the ERP system. • Route parts to designated locations according to traveler instructions. • Verify completeness of paperwork, including packing lists and related documents. • Pack products with care, following customer specifications and internal standards. • Process internal parts to their next operation or appropriate storage location. • Create and maintain bin locations for incoming goods; organize parts accordingly. • Prepare kits and deliver goods as requested by the incoming department. • Stage large items in their assigned locations. • Participate in cycle counts, ensuring stock adjustments are properly approved and executed in ERP. • Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with 6S standards. • Regularly remove debris from the warehouse and dispose of it appropriately.

What You Bring

Success in this role requires strong team collaboration, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Candidates should have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and preferably familiarity with ERP systems, as well as a strong commitment to safety. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and at least two years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory, and forklift certification is preferred or must be obtained. Physical demands include manual dexterity, the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, and the capacity to stand for extended periods. The role also requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, spatial awareness, stamina, and proficiency with hand tools and material‑handling equipment while adhering to safety practices.

This full-time, U.S.-based position in Cheektowaga, NY offers an hourly compensation range of $18 to $24, with eligibility for overtime, premium pay, and differentials depending on location. Pay is individualized based on knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
