About the Role
The Electrical Service Estimator will generate precise cost proposals for electrical construction work, leveraging hands‑on experience with McCormick and AccuBid software and a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction practices. The role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure estimates reflect real‑world conditions and meet company standards and deadlines. • Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope, materials, labor, and equipment. • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor take‑offs, material pricing, and subcontractor quotes. • Use McCormick and AccuBid software to create, adjust, and manage project estimates. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to align estimates with real‑world conditions. • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing. • Identify potential risks and value‑engineering opportunities within each estimate. • Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and supporting documentation. • Stay current with market trends, material costs, and industry best practices.

What You Bring
• 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction. • Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors, and owners. • Experience with digital take‑offs and estimating tools; AccuBid proficiency is a strong plus. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with effective time management. • Ability to interpret drawings and designs; experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD preferred. • Willingness to travel 80–100% of the time.
