About the Role

The Facilities Technician supports the Operations Manager or Manager on Duty by implementing safety plans, operating standards, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to preserve the property’s physical assets. • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems. • Operate equipment for preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and property cleanliness. • Perform interior/exterior maintenance such as painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing, lighting, flooring, and roof work. • Manage inventory, records, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools. • Repair, modify, and move retail merchandising units as needed. • Set up events and install/take-down mall décor. • Conduct custodial duties including sweeping, vacuuming, steam cleaning, trash removal, compactor operation, and landscaping. • Assist with snow removal by vehicle or hand. • Follow GGP’s Safety, Health, and Environment policy and OSHA standards. • Participate in safety training, emergency planning, and response. • Work shifts, evenings, weekends, and be on-call for emergencies. • Provide assistance and interact with the public and tenants. • Read and interpret documents, plans, and schematics.

What You Bring

The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally, and performing tasks in various weather conditions while adhering to OSHA and company safety policies. • High School Diploma or GED (required). • 2–3 years building maintenance or related experience. • Valid driver’s license. • Communicate clearly with management, employees, tenants, and external contacts. • Self‑starter able to work independently. • Technical school graduate or trade certificate (preferred). • OSHA General Industries 10‑Hour course (preferred). • Basic Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
