About the Role
The Assistant Superintendent I position at the JFK Airport project supports the project Superintendent and Project Manager by handling a variety of construction‑related tasks. Responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, inspecting engineering installations, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating with field staff, all under general supervision. • Assist the project Superintendent and Project Manager with daily construction activities. • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and riders. • Inspect engineering installations for adherence to specifications and quality standards. • Maintain accurate project documentation and records. • Interface with administrative field staff to coordinate site operations. • Apply knowledge of company policies, procedures, and business practices to plan and achieve goals. • Operate under general supervision while handling complex construction protocols.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least six years of construction site experience, preferably in airport environments. Preferred experience includes roadway utilities, drainage, paving, grading, excavation, trade oversight, construction scheduling, and proficiency with software such as E‑Builder, Procore, or BlueBeam, as well as an NYCDOB SST certification. • Hold all required licenses and certificates as mandated by government or contract. • Minimum requirement: HSD/GED and 6 years of construction site experience. • Minimum requirement: Airport construction experience. • Preferred: Experience with roadway utilities, drainage systems, paving, grading, and excavation. • Preferred: Oversight of construction trades and knowledge of scheduling methods. • Preferred: Proficiency with construction software (E‑Builder, Procore, BlueBeam, etc.). • Preferred: NYCDOB SST certification.
