About the Role

The Senior Cost Manager II prepares cost estimates for projects of all sizes and complexity throughout design, procurement, and construction phases, either directly or by managing team members. The role supports the Associate Director in supervising the Cost & Commercial Management team and develops business‑development skills. It also leads client relationships with minimal supervision, delivering proposals that meet profitability targets and providing continuous cost‑management services across the project lifecycle. • Prepare cost estimates throughout design, procurement, and construction phases. • Manage and mentor Cost & Commercial Management team members. • Lead client relationships and develop profitable proposals. • Develop progress‑reporting methodology for complex projects. • Apply Design‑Build and CMAR delivery methods. • Analyze ambiguous data and interpret construction economics, tax, insurance, and law. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing cost components of large‑scale projects, developing progress‑reporting methodologies, and familiarity with Design‑Build and CMAR delivery methods. Required competencies include rapid analysis of ambiguous data, deep understanding of construction technology, economics, delivery methods, tax, insurance, and construction law, as well as strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. The role demands multitasking, prioritization, high performance in a fast‑changing environment, and professional qualifications such as a cost‑engineer certification. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, and a minimum of ten years of cost‑engineering experience on construction projects. Preferred certifications include CCE, CCP, PMP, and PE.
