About the Role

Join Williams Civil Construction as an Estimator. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids and proposals, and providing valuable insights to support decision‑making processes. Your expertise in cost estimation, construction methods, and industry trends will help secure and execute successful projects. The role requires taking quantity takeoffs from drawings, evaluating construction methods, preparing detailed cost estimates, developing competitive bids, managing vendor and subcontractor relationships, analyzing costs for savings, staying current on market trends, assessing project risks, collaborating with project stakeholders, and maintaining accurate documentation. • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications. • Evaluate efficient construction methods and materials. • Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. • Develop competitive bids and proposals with value‑engineering options. • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from vendors and subcontractors. • Analyze project costs to identify savings and value‑engineering opportunities. • Monitor market trends and material prices to inform pricing strategies. • Assess project risks and create mitigation and contingency plans. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates. • Maintain organized records of bids, estimates, proposals, and related correspondence.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management (or equivalent experience), at least five years of estimating experience in civil construction, proficiency with takeoff and estimating software, strong analytical and mathematical abilities, knowledge of civil infrastructure and construction methods, excellent communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, effective time management, problem‑solving capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning.
