About the Role
Core duties include interpreting blueprints and specifications, fabricating and installing various pipe configurations, performing mitering, beveling, and layout for pipe penetrations, and installing piping, valves, hangers, supports, as well as underground and steam/heat‑tracing systems. The Pipefitter must also bolt up pipe and valve flanges correctly and provide assistance to other craft workers when needed. • Read and interpret blueprints, ISO field installations, material takeoffs, and field sketches. • Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel and stainless steel weld pipe. • Perform mitering, beveling, and lay out pipe penetrations. • Install piping in pipe racks, valves, hangers, supports, and underground pipe. • Install steam and heat tracing systems. • Bolt up various sizes of pipe and valve flanges. • Assist other craft workers as needed. • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) and perform repetitive hand/arm tasks. • Use hand and power tools (electric, gas, pneumatic) and operate beveling machines. • Work on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, scaffolds, and in confined spaces. • Make decisions, focus amid distractions, and pay attention to detail.

What You Bring
The Pipefitter is responsible for working in plant operations or construction job sites, possessing knowledge of test piping systems, oxygen and acetylene cutting, basic rigging, pneumatic and electric tools, and leak test‑tubing systems. The role requires learning all safety hazards associated with the work and safely operating related tools and equipment. Physical requirements involve lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), repetitive hand and arm use, climbing ladders and scaffolds, and working in uneven, muddy, or confined spaces under adverse weather conditions. Mentally, the position demands effective communication, reading and writing comprehension, basic math, decision‑making, concentration amid distractions, and strong attention to detail. • Navigate uneven, muddy, or rocky surfaces and endure adverse weather conditions. • Communicate effectively, read/write directions, and perform math calculations.
