About the Role
The position begins May 26 2026 with a starting pay rate of $48.97 per hour (non‑negotiable). The primary purpose is to obtain, prepare, and analyze chemical and radioanalytical samples from plant systems. Key duties include recording and trending chemical analysis data, notifying management of out‑of‑specification conditions, responding to operational chemistry needs, executing emergency‑plan tasks, performing inventories, maintaining laboratory housekeeping, monitoring radiation dose, and completing routine tasks such as gas‑bottle changes, resin‑column replacements, chart‑paper changes, and liquid‑nitrogen refills. • Record and trend chemical analysis data, alerting management to out‑of‑specification results. • Respond to operational chemistry requests and execute emergency‑plan duties during shifts. • Perform inventories of chemicals, equipment, and supplies; maintain laboratory cleanliness and instrument condition. • Conduct self‑monitoring of radiation dose and perform radiological surveys for chemistry tasks. • Change gas bottles, replace resin columns, refill liquid nitrogen dewars, and replace chart paper as needed.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, ability to pass pre‑employment testing, ability to work different shifts, unescorted nuclear access, and strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Candidates must demonstrate leadership by motivating others and consistently achieving results. Additionally, candidates must have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (or equivalent), two years of professional chemistry experience, or Navy nuclear experience as an Engineering Lab Technician. • Hold a high school diploma, pass pre‑employment testing, and obtain unescorted nuclear access. • Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and leadership abilities. • Possess either a chemistry/chemical‑engineering degree, two years of chemistry experience, or Navy nuclear ELT experience.
