About the Role
The Survey Instrument Operator assists the Crew Chief in field surveys, using standard equipment and safety methods. Responsibilities include operating total stations, data collectors, GPS, and other surveying tools, uploading and downloading field data, and transporting and setting up equipment at job sites. The role also involves maintaining and caring for survey instruments, stocking the survey vehicle, and adhering to health and safety programs and SOPs. • Assist Crew Chief in performing field surveys • Operate total stations, data collectors, GPS, and other surveying equipment • Upload and download field data collections • Drive the survey vehicle and transport equipment to job sites • Set up and calibrate surveying instruments on site • Use appropriate safety equipment and follow safety policies and SOPs • Maintain and service survey instruments and vehicle supplies • Stock and organize supplies in the survey truck • Participate in a company‑matched 401(k)/Roth plan

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with 0‑2 years of experience, and a valid driver’s license may be required. Basic organizational skills, intermediate knowledge of surveying practices, the ability to operate surveying equipment, and foundational math, geometry, and trigonometry are required. The position requires occasional travel, teamwork, and proficiency in English. • Hold a High School diploma or GED • Possess 0‑2 years of surveying or related experience • Maintain a valid driver’s license if required • Demonstrate basic organizational, math, geometry, and trigonometry skills • Travel occasionally and drive for extended periods • Read, write, and understand English for job communications

The position offers an hourly wage of $23.00 to $29.00, depending on qualifications. Employment is contingent upon a pre‑employment drug screen and participation in a random drug and alcohol testing program.
