About the Role

The role will manage portfolio demand, capacity forecasting, and resource planning, and will facilitate governance forums to ensure alignment and transparency. It will build and operationalize the PMO, define delivery standards, and coach project teams to raise maturity. Additionally, the Leader will directly manage high‑impact programs, partner with business leaders, and ensure measurable value and clear stakeholder communication. • Serve as central intake and prioritization point for Digital Services project demand. • Establish framework for evaluating, sequencing, and governing work intake. • Lead capacity forecasting, workload balancing, and resource planning. • Facilitate governance forums such as the Digital Advisory Council. • Improve visibility into portfolio health, delivery commitments, and tradeoffs. • Build and operationalize the first Digital Services PMO. • Develop consistent delivery practices: governance models, stage gates, templates, reporting, and non‑project work governance. • Enable and coach project managers and delivery teams. • Directly lead high‑impact programs and projects as Project Manager when needed. • Drive cross‑functional execution to deliver outcomes on time, within scope, and aligned to priorities. • Act as trusted delivery partner to IT and business stakeholders. • Collaborate with business leaders to translate needs into executable demand. • Ensure Digital Services delivers measurable value, adoption, and operational improvement. • Provide clear communication, escalation, and alignment across stakeholders. • Build and scale governance functions from ground up, including demand intake and delivery standards.

What You Bring

Milton CAT is seeking a highly capable and execution-oriented Portfolio & PMO Governance Lead to establish the organization’s first Digital Services PMO and portfolio governance function. This role serves as the single front door for demand intake, prioritization, capacity planning, vendor lifecycle governance, IT financial discipline, and audit/compliance readiness. The individual will also act as a hands‑on Program/Project Manager, driving key initiatives to successful delivery. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have ten or more years of experience in portfolio management, PMO leadership, or enterprise IT delivery. Proven success in creating governance functions, demand and capacity planning, and hands‑on program execution is required, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Preferred experience includes enterprise application environments, vendor‑managed services, audit readiness, digital transformation, and relevant certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field. • Possess 10+ years experience in portfolio management, PMO leadership, or enterprise IT delivery. • Strong experience in demand and capacity planning. • Demonstrated success as hands‑on Program or Project Manager driving cross‑functional execution. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence skills. • Experience with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, WMS, HRIS, etc.). • Familiarity with vendor‑managed service models and contract renewal oversight. • Background in audit readiness, compliance governance, or operational risk controls. • Exposure to digital transformation initiatives and delivery model maturity. • Experience in industrial, construction, equipment, or distributed operations environments. • Advanced certifications (PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar) preferred.

Benefits
