About the Role

At nVent in New Berlin, WI, you will work as a Customer Service Representative, serving as the initial point of contact for customers and contributing to their happiness and retention. You will handle inquiries, provide information, and collaborate with internal departments to meet deadlines and resolve issues while preserving a positive brand image. You will deliver proactive, outstanding service to both external and internal customers, managing emails, calls, and e‑commerce orders concerning quotes, shipping, logistics, technical support, and product details. Order entry for domestic and international shipments, as well as returns (RMAs), will be coordinated with Pricing, Marketing, Sales, and Distribution Center teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Customer incidents such as shipping, pricing, documentation, or order entry errors will be investigated, root‑caused, and corrected quickly. You will develop a solid knowledge of the product line to answer questions on specifications, applications, and troubleshooting, while seeking opportunities for process improvement and supporting sales representatives with sample requests, promotions, and product displays. • Provide proactive service to external and internal customers via phone, email, and e‑commerce channels. • Handle quotes, shipping, logistics, basic technical support, and product information inquiries. • Process domestic and international orders, returns (RMAs), and ensure accurate inventory and item setup. • Coordinate with Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Distribution Center, and other teams to meet deadlines and resolve issues. • Investigate and resolve customer incidents with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. • Develop product knowledge to answer questions on specifications, applications, and troubleshooting. • Identify and contribute to process‑improvement and continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Support sales representatives with sample requests, order processing, promotions, and product displays. • Maintain up‑to‑date customer data, including contacts and automatic acknowledgments.

What You Bring

An Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with 3+ years of customer‑service experience and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems. Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills, excellent organization, attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, and a willingness to work overtime are required. • Preferred qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent, 3+ years customer‑service experience, CRM/ERP proficiency, strong Excel and Office skills. • Demonstrated organizational ability, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently or in a team.
