About the Role
The role is the supervision of Lifting Operations for SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIDP) within the Citywide Cliff Stabilization team. The incumbent will ensure all work aligns with Qiddiya Investment Company’s strategic direction and reports directly to the Project Director. Key duties include developing and implementing lifting plans that comply with policies, regulations and best practices, and supervising all phases of lifts—from simple to complex—across worksites. You will lead a team of contractor crane operators, riggers and banksmen, promote HSE initiatives, and act as the primary contact for lifting‑related queries. Regular inspections, audits, training and accurate record‑keeping of lift plans, risk assessments and equipment inspections are also required. • Develop and implement lifting plans in line with policies, regulations and best practices. • Supervise setup, rigging and execution of simple, complicated and complex lifts. • Lead and coordinate contractor crane operators, riggers and banksmen. • Prioritize health, safety and environment initiatives for safe lifting practices. • Ensure compliance with international lifting standards and regulations. • Serve as primary contact for lifting‑related queries and provide stakeholder guidance. • Facilitate training and development for lifting personnel to maintain competencies. • Conduct regular inspections and audits of lifting equipment, applying corrective actions. • Maintain accurate records of lift plans, risk assessments and equipment inspections.

What You Bring
Candidates must be an appointed person with at least ten years of lifting‑operations experience on construction projects, preferably on cliff or high‑rise sites. Experience with large PM/CM contracts and Project Management certification are advantageous. Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required. The successful candidate demonstrates teamwork, supervision and strong contractor‑management skills, and is familiar with multiple crane types and LOLER regulations. Ability to work in a matrix organization, interact with senior management, prioritize tasks under time constraints, and negotiate effectively with stakeholders is essential. • Minimum 10 years experience in lifting operations on construction projects, preferably cliff/high‑rise. • Project Management certification and strong English communication skills are preferred. • Demonstrated teamwork, supervision and contractor management abilities. • Familiarity with multiple crane types and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) compliance. • Ability to work in a matrix organization, interact with senior management and meet project deadlines.
