About the Role
The technician will support plant operations by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with standards. • Provide technical expertise during equipment problems, repairs, and root‑cause investigations. • Set up, calibrate, test, and repair electrical controls, instruments, and electronic components. • Collect equipment operational history and data to drive reliability improvements. • Troubleshoot malfunctions, document failure analysis, and perform preventative maintenance. • Plan and execute work following electrical/electronic/mechanical principles, codes, and specifications. • Monitor controls and equipment to ensure efficient service and adhere to SOP/SSOP. • Operate diagnostic tools, dismantle systems, and test components. • Configure HART smart devices using a HART communicator. • Collaborate with the maintenance department on electrical repairs and projects. • Follow OSHA safety regulations, LOTO policies, and communicate safety issues to managers. • Work in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and may contain fumes or odors.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least one year of field experience and an Associate’s degree in Instrumentation or equivalent certification. Required skills include testing, calibrating, and repairing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic devices, proficiency with single‑ and three‑phase motors, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The role demands physical ability to lift and carry up to 60 lb, stand for long periods, and work in environments that may be hot, cold, noisy, wet, or contain fumes. Frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping are also required. • Minimum one year of field experience. • Associate’s degree in Instrumentation or related certification. • Ability to test, calibrate, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Proficiency with single‑ and three‑phase motors and motor control systems. • Capability to install and troubleshoot PLCs, AC and DC drives. • Skill in installing electrical gear and reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals. • Lift up to 60 lb independently and carry up to 60 lb for distances up to 20 ft. • Stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping.
