About the Role

You will work closely with Mace project teams and, when required, external stakeholders on joint‑venture or client‑direct projects. As a member of the Digital Centre of Excellence you will share knowledge with other BI and data professionals and develop your technical skill set alongside experienced practitioners. Key technical responsibilities include designing and maintaining data pipelines, orchestrating ELT/ETL processes, and implementing medallion architecture and lakehouse design principles. You will build data warehouses and data marts, leverage Azure DevOps for CI/CD, and work primarily on Microsoft Fabric’s data engineering and warehousing workflows. • Design, develop, and orchestrate data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes • Implement medallion architecture, lakehouse design, and build data warehouses/marts • Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD and deployment • Apply agile methodologies and a structured development lifecycle

What You Bring

We are hiring a client‑facing Data Engineer specialized in the Microsoft cloud data stack. The role supports fee‑earning projects and programmes, contributing to digital tools, processes, and data infrastructure that underpin Business Intelligence activities for our clients. The role requires expert proficiency in SQL and fluency in Python, PowerShell, DAX, and M. You will operate within an agile framework, follow a structured development lifecycle from requirements through post‑implementation support, and ensure the BI team has timely access to required data. A minimum of two years’ data engineering experience is required, with at least one year on the Microsoft cloud stack; recent experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable. Candidates must hold a DP‑600 or DP‑700 (Fabric Data Engineer) certification and possess a good working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365. • Expert-level SQL proficiency • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Fabric ecosystems • Proficient in Python, PowerShell, DAX, and M languages • Minimum 2 years data engineering experience; at least 1 year with Microsoft cloud stack • DP‑600 or DP‑700 (Fabric Data Engineer) Microsoft certification required • Strong knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365 productivity suite • Understanding of data security, version control, and consultancy stakeholder management • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a development team • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
