About the Role

The Inventory & Material Management position ensures that stock items are ordered, expedited, and available so production lines operate without interruption. The incumbent works closely with material coordinators and storeroom teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and control outstanding invoices. By coordinating with purchasing and suppliers, the role helps prevent production impacts caused by obsolete or discontinued parts. • Secure timely ordering and expediting of stock items to keep production flowing. • Maintain optimal inventory levels and proactively address stockouts through root‑cause analysis. • Collaborate with material coordinators and storeroom teams to manage stocking levels and resolve discrepancies. • Control invoices on hold while overseeing supplier relationships to minimize production impact. • Partner with Purchasing to manage new, obsolete, or discontinued parts. • Utilize Kanban and other material control methods efficiently. • Interact professionally with internal and external suppliers and customers.

What You Bring

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in manufacturing, planning, or materials processing. Candidates must be proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Power BI, AS400, MAPICS, VISTA, and DMM, and be able to multitask while meeting goals. Applicants must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the Sumter, SC facility, although active‑duty military personnel are exempt, and no relocation assistance is provided. The successful employee demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and oral, and can work effectively in diverse, collaborative environments. A self‑starter attitude, ability to solve problems with minimal supervision, and familiarity with Kanban and other material control methods are essential. Organizational aptitude, results‑orientation, and the capacity to engage with internal and external stakeholders complete the profile. • Hold a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. • Bring at least two years of experience in manufacturing, planning, or materials processing. • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Power BI, AS400, MAPICS, VISTA, and DMM software. • Exhibit strong written and oral communication abilities. • Apply a collaborative style and thrive in a diverse work environment. • Operate as a self‑starter, solving problems with minimal supervision. • Show self‑motivation, results orientation, and strong organizational skills.
