About the Role
The Maintenance Technician B works under the supervision of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role also includes basic tire work such as replacements, rotations, and tread depth checks, and offers training on new technologies while providing a stable shift in a reliable industry. Key responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, engine, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC systems, as well as line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. The technician must safely provide road service when needed, diagnose malfunctions with electronic tools, and complete all required company training programs. • Perform chassis component repair and maintenance • Service refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems • Conduct engine repair and maintenance • Maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems • Execute line maintenance welding and fabrication • Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation • Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required training

What You Bring
Qualifications require a basic understanding of work‑order labor standards and experience with light to heavy‑duty trucks, with ASE certifications and a commercial driver’s license considered a plus. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and have at least one year of relevant experience or be graduating from an accredited automotive program within three months, demonstrating the ability to inspect various heavy‑truck systems with limited supervision.
