About the Role

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) role supports this mission by interpreting, implementing, and maintaining a robust security program aligned with regulatory and government policies. The FSO manages the Department of Defense (DoD) and other industrial security programs, processes personnel security clearances, and maintains all related documentation in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM). Responsibilities include conducting security pre‑screens, leading annual DCSA inspections, handling visitor authorizations, and providing operational security support for local data centers. • Conduct phone and in‑person security pre‑screens and document results. • Process and review personnel security clearances, maintaining clearance rosters. • Interpret and apply 32 CFR Part 117/NISPOM directives to daily operations. • Lead annual DCSA inspections and self‑inspections, reporting findings to senior management. • Submit and track visitor requests and authorization letters via fax or DISS. • Provide operational security support and implement customer security requirements at the data center. • Interface with the National Information Security Team, program employees, and subcontractors. • Manage and maintain Program Personnel Security Clearances (PCLs) and related paperwork, including DD254s. • Perform clearance processing for multiple government and contractor sites, verifying access for new hires and current employees. • Maintain a National Central Access Information Security System (NCAISS) portal account for FCL management. • Conduct self‑inspections as directed by DCSA to ensure audit readiness. • Utilize the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to manage PCL investigations and briefings. • Provide security awareness training and incident reporting for cleared personnel. • Ensure exceptional customer service and strong written communication throughout security activities. • Maintain compliance with Intelligence Community Directives 704 and 705 where applicable.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of experience as a Facility Security Officer or Contractor Program Security Officer and hold an approved U.S. government security clearance. Required knowledge includes the NISPOM, DCSA investigations, and Intelligence Community Directives 704/705, along with strong customer service and written communication skills.
