About the Role

The Project Manager – Major Projects will lead large HVAC controls construction projects valued at $3 million or more within our Building Technologies & Solutions business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for profitable execution, on‑time delivery, accurate billing, and maintaining positive cash flow while adhering to safety and ethical standards. Key duties include acting as the on‑site leader for execution teams, developing and managing project schedules, evaluating contractual scope, pursuing change orders, preparing cost estimates and proposals, and handling billings and collections. You will also oversee subcontractors, ensure compliance with specifications and codes, manage risks, and communicate progress and financial status to management using Microsoft Project. • Lead large HVAC controls construction projects valued at $3M+ • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, cash flow, and profitability • Pursue and negotiate change orders to increase project revenue • Oversee subcontractors, ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and safety standards • Communicate progress, issues, and financial status using Microsoft Project • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors

What You Bring

The role requires at least six years of direct project management experience in building construction, preferably with mechanical retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, fire and security systems. Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, Project, Visio, and be able to travel up to 40% of the time. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field is required, and PMP certification is expected within two years. • Minimum 6 years project management experience in building construction • Experience with mechanical retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, fire and security systems • PMP certification expected within 2 years (preferred now) • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field • Strong verbal/written communication and proficiency in MS Office, Project, Visio • Willingness to travel up to 40% and manage complex multi‑subcontractor projects
