About the Role
The Performance Improvement (PI) Manager, based in Brisbane, Australia and reporting to the CCR APAC Director, will drive performance improvement across Readymix (RMC) operations in Australia and Hong Kong. The role focuses on enhancing both financial and non‑financial KPIs, planning and leading optimisation initiatives, and coordinating with Sales, QC, Logistics and Production teams to promote continuous improvement across the RMC value chain. • Drive performance improvement at RMC operations by enhancing financial and non‑financial KPIs. • Support implementation and adherence to Minimum Operating Practices (Operating Model). • Establish review cycles for operational and financial KPIs to continuously improve operating margins. • Collaborate with country managers to share best practices and identify new opportunities. • Monitor improvement initiatives and assist local management in achieving goals. • Work with Global and HQ functions to shape the future of Heidelberg Materials’ RMC business. • Plan, communicate, and lead optimisation visits involving Sales, QC, Logistics, and Production teams.

What You Bring
• Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. • 8+ years in concrete materials, particularly ready‑mix or related building materials industry. • Strong knowledge of concrete production, plant engineering, processes, and control systems. • Ability to understand operational, technical, commercial, and financial aspects of the business. • Hands‑on approach to applying technical recommendations. • Strong analytical skills and ability to foster a data‑driven management culture. • Excellent communication and project management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Ability to coach and motivate peers without direct authority. • Strong English skills; additional APAC languages are a plus.
