About the Role

• Mentor and guide the federal design team throughout design development and review. • Manage client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. • Serve as primary liaison between internal and external project partners, ensuring effective action plan implementation. • Resolve complex technical matters, including building code issues for healthcare and large campus projects. • Lead architects and designers, orchestrating project activities and aligning team efforts.

What You Bring

The position offers significant autonomy, operating with minimal supervision while receiving administrative guidance. The manager will lead architects and designers, coordinate internal and external partners, and travel part‑time as project needs dictate. Strong technical expertise in building codes, especially for healthcare and large campus programs, is essential. Leadership and people‑management responsibilities are central to the role. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering and possess a U.S. professional license. At least ten years of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, and a valid driver’s license are required. Preferred qualifications include fifteen plus years of federal program experience, familiarity with USACE or DoD contracts, and certifications such as PMP or DBIA. Experience with federal design specifications (UFC, ETL, AFMAN, AFI) and a proven record of client satisfaction are also valued. • Travel part‑time as required for project work. • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering. • U.S. licensed Architect or Engineer. • Minimum 10 years of related experience. • U.S. citizenship. • Valid U.S. driver’s license and pass motor‑vehicle records review. • 15+ years of experience with federal programs and managing projects and people. • Direct experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other DoD contracting agencies. • Familiarity with federal design specifications (UFC, ETL, AFMAN, AFI). • Certifications such as PMP, DBIA, LEEP AP, CCM, or USACE CQM. • Experience developing scopes, fees, proposals, and change orders for interdisciplinary teams. • Proven ability to implement design quality assurance and control activities. • Strong organizational and client‑service track record.

Benefits

The compensation range is $140,000 to $195,000 annually, and relocation assistance is available. AECOM does not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
