About the Role
Key duties include performing preventive maintenance on base building and critical equipment, operating and maintaining Cleaver Brooks natural‑gas‑fired boilers and steam systems, monitoring refrigeration, chilled water, HVAC and emergency generator equipment, installing and repairing plumbing, piping, electrical controls, pumps and motors, responding to critical alarms, documenting work, analyzing water samples, managing steam and water treatment, and providing on‑call emergency support. • Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical system equipment. • Operate and maintain Cleaver Brooks natural gas‑fired boilers and steam systems. • Monitor refrigeration, chilled water, HVAC, and emergency generator equipment. • Install and repair plumbing, piping, electrical controls, pumps, and motors. • Identify and respond to critical alarms and document maintenance activities. • Analyze water samples and manage steam/water treatment systems. • Provide on‑call emergency response support. • Operate HVAC systems and perform mechanical repairs. • Manage steam systems and water treatment processes.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Missouri Operating Engineer Certificate and a Universal CFC Certificate, possess a journeyman rating with at least five years of heavy‑industrial experience, and be available for on‑call emergencies. Preferred qualifications include experience with multiple boiler manufacturers, expertise in building automation and energy‑management systems, knowledge of industrial refrigeration and process cooling, familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, and additional certifications such as EPA Section 608, state operating engineer licenses, OSHA safety, or boiler inspector credentials. • Hold a Missouri Operating Engineer Certificate. • Hold a Universal CFC Certificate. • Possess a journeyman rating with 5+ years heavy‑industrial experience. • Be available for mandatory on‑call emergency coverage. • Demonstrate boiler operation skills: start, shut down, adjust to meet demand. • Exhibit electrical maintenance and troubleshooting expertise. • Use automated building systems and operator control panels proficiency. • Work safely in noisy, hot, high‑stress environments and frequently climb stairs. • Experience with multiple boiler manufacturers beyond Cleaver Brooks. • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and energy management. • Expertise in industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems. • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies. • Hold EPA Section 608 certification (Type I, II, III). • Possess additional state operating engineer licenses. • Have OSHA safety certifications. • Hold boiler inspector or related technical certifications.
