About the Role

We are seeking a Deputy/Program Director for K‑12 projects in Georgia, based in our Atlanta office. The role will lead the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E‑SPLOST) Capital Improvement Program and oversee operations for a public school district serving 40,000 students across 70+ facilities. • Oversee design and permitting for all assigned projects. • Coordinate project requirements with third‑party agencies. • Manage design consultants and construction manager deliverables. • Provide input for monthly program reports on status and issues. • Review and recommend approval of construction delivery proposals. • Evaluate and advise on changes to design consultants’ or contractors’ scopes. • Conduct deliverable reviews and resolve consultant comments. • Review and recommend bulletins and change orders. • Provide technical management of assigned design consultant. • Chair or participate in regular progress and coordination meetings. • Lead design review comment and reconciliation meetings with consultants. • Facilitate resolution of technical and contractual issues. • Attend owner‑architect‑contractor progress meetings. • Review contractor requests for information (RFIs). • Advise client on errors and omissions matters. • Monitor scope, budget, schedule and quality; report deviations. • Manage corrective actions to scope, budget, schedule or quality. • Supervise design and construction support activities. • Participate in design evaluations, studies and alternative rankings. • Manage construction‑phase services of design consultants. • Facilitate phasing and logistics meetings. • Lead technical and administrative support staff assigned to the project. • Coordinate with project administrators. • Evaluate architects/engineers and contractors. • Provide primary consulting services to diverse clients. • Assess and manage project risk on behalf of the client. • Oversee client‑procured architects, contractors and consultants. • Resolve difficult issues affecting schedule or cost.

What You Bring

• Wear required personal protective equipment and work in varied outdoor conditions. • BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field with 8 + years experience, including 2 years as a senior project manager. • Experience with Georgia K‑12 programs and the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE). • Proven track record managing K‑12 planning, design and construction projects. • Must pass state and federal background checks, drug screening and be a U.S. citizen. • Preferred: 10 + years managing vertical construction projects. • Preferred: Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • Preferred: OSHA 30‑Hour Training certificate.
