About the Role
The Controller position is based in Durrington, Worthing, on a permanent contract with 38 weekly hours and a salary of £29,000, dependent on skills and experience. The role focuses on monitoring and controlling sewage treatment works and pumping stations, analyzing alarm data, and mobilising resources when assets underperform. You will provide continuous monitoring and control to ensure efficient operation of the facilities, coordinate with schedulers to respond rapidly to alarms, and supply accurate, timely information to Southern Water, service providers, contractors, and other stakeholders while adhering to company standards and statutory requirements. • Monitor alarm systems and respond promptly to prevent service disruptions. • Coordinate resources and allocate tasks to relevant teams for smooth operations. • Deliver accurate and timely information to Southern Water, contractors, and stakeholders. • Follow health, safety, and welfare regulations to protect team and public. • Participate in training and maintain required certifications, such as the License to Control program. • Use Southern Water systems to integrate asset, alarm, and weather data for proactive issue management. • Work core hours 07:00‑15:00 with flexibility for occasional late shifts (11:00‑19:00) as needed.

What You Bring
