What You Bring
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in the power systems or power generation industry. The role is based in Pune. Key technical skills include expertise in electrical design for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), automation and PLC cabinet design, and proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 and BricsCAD. Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Windchill, is also expected. Responsibilities involve designing and implementing DC electrical systems, creating power system layouts, selecting components, and developing system designs. The role requires knowledge of system architecture for integrating generators, wind, solar, and other energy sources, as well as power conversion, distribution, energy management, and microgrid/smart‑grid solutions. The candidate must understand PLC automation control logic, SCADA, HMI, and diesel generator control architectures, and have experience integrating power components such as inverters, transformers, and BMS in battery storage systems. Knowledge of global standards (IEC, ANSI, NFPA, IEEE, UL) and at least three years of EPLAN P8 experience, including database management and 2D/3D layout creation, is required. Additional duties include collaborating with the Technical Architect to translate functional designs into technical designs, documenting end‑to‑end processes, and communicating with stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and analytical problem‑solving skills are essential. The role values dependability, versatility, flexibility, and teamwork. Candidates may be required to complete an online assessment involving cognitive and behavioural aptitude tests, with further instructions provided as needed. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent • 3–5 years experience in power systems or power generation • Expertise in ESS/BESS electrical design and PLC cabinet design • Proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8, BricsCAD, and ERP systems (SAP, Windchill) • Knowledge of system architecture for integrating generators, wind, solar, etc. • Understanding of power conversion, distribution, energy management, microgrid/smart‑grid solutions • Experience with PLC automation, SCADA, HMI, and diesel generator control systems • Familiarity with global standards (IEC, ANSI, NFPA, IEEE, UL) • Minimum 3 years EPLAN P8 experience including database management, macros, 2D/3D layouts • Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and analytical problem‑solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication; manage multiple priorities • Teamwork, dependability, versatility, and flexibility • May need to complete online cognitive and behavioural assessment
