About the Role

The role involves hands‑on work in a garage and occasional outdoor conditions, requiring frequent lifting, standing, and exposure to typical shop hazards while adhering to OSHA and corporate safety standards. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG trucks. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts. • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) and respond to emergency breakdown calls. • Conduct safety inspections on vehicles and document parts usage and repair times. • Review and assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with Corporate and OSHA standards. • Meet physical demands of frequent lifting, standing, and exposure to shop hazards.

What You Bring

You will work a stable Monday‑through‑Friday schedule from noon to midnight at WM’s Austin, Texas repair shop, with no weekend shifts, allowing a reliable work‑life balance. All new hires must complete a mandatory two‑week training program in Arizona. • Possess 4+ years of diesel‑fleet mechanical experience and a clean driver’s license. • Successfully complete a mandatory two‑week training in Arizona and pass pre‑employment drug screening and physical.
