About the Role
The Production Lead – Crew 3 will complete AAON’s Production Leader Program and lead a team of workers, assigning tasks and providing guidance. The role includes motivating and mentoring team members to maximize productivity and quality, and collaborating with management to ensure production targets are met. The leader allocates labor, equipment, and materials to support the production plan, monitors and enforces quality control processes to ensure products meet standards, and investigates and addresses production and quality issues as they arise. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, the lead conducts safety training and audits, provides recommendations for improvements, identifies opportunities for process optimization, implements changes, and oversees process improvements to enhance productivity. The role maintains accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinates with inventory control teams to minimize waste and optimize stock levels, generates regular performance reports on productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics, and updates management on production status and challenges. • Lead team, assign tasks, and mentor members to boost productivity and quality. • Allocate labor, equipment, and materials according to the production plan. • Enforce quality control standards and resolve production issues promptly. • Conduct safety training, perform audits, and recommend safety improvements. • Identify and implement process optimizations to increase efficiency. • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with control teams to reduce waste. • Generate performance reports and communicate production status to management.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and preferably three years of production or manufacturing experience. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification and proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations is required, along with excellent communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, organizational, and time‑management skills. The job requires regularly lifting up to 50 lb, standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks, and wearing proper PPE. Employees work in manufacturing facilities exposed to extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic, and the position is safety‑sensitive, subject to drug and alcohol testing. • Possess a high school diploma/GED and preferably three years of production experience. • Obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations. • Exhibit excellent communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills. • Able to lift 50 lb, stand, bend, perform repetitive tasks, and work in a harsh manufacturing environment.
