About the Role

The Assistant to the Portfolio Manager will work on a portfolio that includes CBD and near‑city mixed‑use assets and sub‑regional shopping centres for a single client. The role supports the Portfolio Manager in optimising return on investment and participates in the day‑to‑day operations of these assets. You will work within a dedicated team that manages all aspects of asset operations, from tenant relations and leasing administration to financial reporting and compliance. The position also involves market research and networking to enhance property‑management advice. • Serve as alternate client contact and build strong tenant relationships to support retention strategies • Assist with leasing reports, fee tracking, budget preparation, and arrears management • Monitor FM performance, OpEx/CapEx reporting, risk audits, compliance dates, and WHS&E incidents • Prepare monthly management reports, ad‑hoc client requests, and develop tailored policies/procedures • Review lease renewals, rent reviews, insurance expiries, and other portfolio compliance deadlines • Participate in industry networking and provide market research to enhance property management advice

What You Bring

We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and the ability to build relationships quickly. The ideal candidate thrives in a continuous‑learning environment, works well in a team, and is proficient with MS Office. Experience with the MRI property‑management system, particularly the Budget & Forecast module, and knowledge of trust‑account policies are desirable, as is a Queensland Real Estate Salesperson Certificate.
