About the Role
Function as a Journeyman for Bergelectric Corp.; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position. Work may be performed in a variety of weather conditions, including cold, snow, rain, and heat, and often involves high noise levels. • Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems supporting safety, operations, and productivity initiatives. • Use hand and power tools appropriate to the trade. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire, cable, conduit, and other raceway systems. • Feed, pull, and terminate wire and cable in control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, etc. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and control circuits; build control panels from drawings. • Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing wiring locations. • Delegate tasks and assist in training other employees. • Maintain workflow schedule to meet productivity objectives. • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. • Install power systems such as lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks. • Build and install control panels and provide system maintenance. • Interpret electrical single‑line blueprints. • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. • Verify compliance and functionality of installations. • Assist with project and crew management. • Manage material estimates.

What You Bring
The role requires lifting up to 50 lb, pulling equivalent force, climbing ladders, pulling wire and bending conduit, and working in a fully squatted, stooped, or kneeling position while wearing a 25 lb tool belt. Employees must stand for extended periods performing repetitive actions and may work from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members. • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with colleagues, customers, and vendors. • Hold a current Journeyman Wireman license where required. • Exhibit strong leadership and pre‑planning abilities.
